I started DJing when I was 19.  DJing teaches you how to run a business, deal with clients of every level of life and how to be professional under pressure. 

Audio Visual production requires a wide range of skills.  You need to understand atmosphere, lighting, sound cameras, dozens of applications, and how to handle people.  "Jack of all trades, master of none...but can be just as good as a master of one."
